Tasks that behave the way a day does

Lists, due dates with or without a time, repeats that really repeat, stars for what matters today, and an order you choose yourself and that survives a reload.

  • Lists that behave

Your first list is made for you, so the screen is never a chore before it is a tool.

  • All-day or timed

"Sunday market" and "pills at 22:00" are different promises. An all-day task is not late until its day is over.

  • Your order is kept

Drag to reorder — the list stays as you left it.

The basics, done properly

A task has a title, notes, an optional due date with or without a time, and a star for the things that matter today. You can reorder tasks by hand and that order is saved; you can tick things off and the completed section holds them until you clear it. Lists can be renamed, and deleting a list takes its tasks with it — deliberately, so nothing is left floating in a list that no longer exists.

  • Notes on a task

The detail that makes the title make sense a week later.

  • Starred

A single flag with its own view — today's shortlist, across every list.

  • Your order

Drag to reorder; your order is saved, so it survives a reload.

Repeats that actually repeat

Set a task to repeat every day, week, month or year — and every N of those, not just every one. A weekly repeat can name its days, so "every two weeks on Monday and Wednesday" is a thing you can say. Repeats can end on a date or after a number of occurrences. When you tick off a repeating task, the next occurrence appears immediately, on every device.

  • Every N units

Day, week, month or year — with an interval you choose.

  • Named weekdays

Weekly repeats pick their days, and never empty out to no day at all.

  • An end you set

Stop on a date, stop after a count, or keep going until you say otherwise.

Questions people actually ask

  • What happens when I complete a repeating task?

The next occurrence appears immediately, on every device — the same way no matter which screen ticked the box.

  • Is an all-day task overdue at midnight?

No. An all-day task is late only once its day is over. Treating it as due at 00:00 would mark half your list overdue by one minute past midnight, which helps nobody.

  • Are these the same as workspace tasks?

No. These are your personal tasks. Team work lives in workspaces with projects, assignees and everything a team needs — a different tool for a different job.

  • What happens if I delete a list?

Its tasks go with it — deliberately, so no task is left pointing at a list that no longer exists.
